Goodfellas Win Big in Preseason Exhibition

In their final tune up prior to opening day, the Goodfellas took on the Dead Prezidents (Men's B South). The Goodfellas wasted little time showing what they were capable of and were up 9-0 after 3 innings of play. Opening day starter, Dan Capoccitti, pitched 3 scoreless innings and starting catcher Dan Ciampino was pleased with Capoccitti's velocity. Offensively, the Goodfellas looked ready for big numbers in 2012 with LeMorta, Ciampino, Hoffman and Corcione hitting home runs. Although a preseason game, the Goodfellas should feel good going into Wednesday's home opener after putting up 17 runs on Dead Prezidents, which is led by former Goodfella Jeff Brown. After their 17-5 victory, the Goodfellas are ready to start the season.

Preseason Workouts to Pay Dividends for LeMorta

At the end of the 2011 season the Goodfellas star center fielder vowed to commit the offseason to fitness and return in 2012 as an unstoppable force.
